The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will lead the initial term board assessments for classes 10 and 12 disconnected in November-December, the board said on Thursday. The date sheet for a similar will be delivered on October 18.

The board gave a roundabout wherein it said the tests will be target type. The hour and a half term 1 test paper will be directed with numerous decision optical imprint acknowledgment (MCQ-OMR) question sheets and term 2 will be a customary composed test.

CBSE is offering 114 subjects in class 12 and 75 subjects in class 10. The board needs to direct the assessments of an absolute 189 subjects.

In the event that the assessment of all subjects is led, whole span of the assessments would be around 40-45 days least. "After the lead of the term-1 tests, the outcomes as imprints scored will be proclaimed. The end-product will be reported after the first and the second-term assessment," CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.

The syllabus for the year will also be rationalised on the lines of what was done in the last academic year when the syllabus was reduced by 30%. The rationalised syllabus will be split in half across the two terms.
